Our in Labor & Love workshop series fills an important need in today’s culture. As new parents, too many of us end up feeling isolated and alone. We struggle to find opportunities to connect with other families, and we often don’t have the skills to connect deeply with our own partner, particularly as we adjust to the many demands of caring for a newborn. For some of us, equitably sharing parenting responsibilities becomes a daily challenge, even despite best intentions to fairly divide the parenting load. This may leave one partner feeling overwhelmed, and the other feeling helpless and ancillary - a pattern that Liz sees all too often in couples counseling. Through In Labor & Love, we address these concerns by creating a community of support and providing crucial social-emotional tools and communication skills. We hope you will join us and a cohort of your peers during this very exciting time of life!
